All guests staying at the 4-star Claregalway Hotel receive complimentary access to our Leisure Centre which includes an 18-metre deck level swimming pool with separate children’s paddle pool.

Swimming is a great activity as it tones your entire body while providing an excellent cardiovascular workout. It’s hard to beat swimming when it comes to a sport that builds the body, soothes the mind, regulates breathing, stimulates circulation and puts no stress on the joints. Even though swimming does not involve weights, the resistance against the water provides a significant training benefit. Moving through water puts more external pressure on your limbs than out-of-water training so swimming gives you a complete body work out.

Family Fun

If you are on a family break with your loved ones, swimming is the ideal way to have a lot of fun and to build positive memories that will last a lifetime. We all know how unpredictable the Irish weather can be and swimming is a great activity whatever the weather. A Sunny hot day? Keep the kids cool by taking a dip in our pool. Meanwhile, if it’s raining the pool is perfect for burning off that excess energy and having fun at the same time. Swimming, and especially kids swimming is all about enjoying the water, practicing your technique, playing games or spending time with the family.

Whatever your preference, when it comes to leisure facilities, our hotel swimming pool is a world away from the stresses of daily life.

Opening Times:

Monday to Friday – 5:45am to 9pm | Saturday & Sunday – 8am to 8pm | Bank Holiday Mondays – 8am to 8pm

Children under 15 years of age are welcome when accompanied by an adult between the hours of 6.00 am and 7:00 pm Monday to Thursday and until closing time Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Gym, pool and Spa areas close 15 minutes prior to the closing times noted above and all members are asked to be mindful of the need to vacate the club’s changing rooms before closing time.
